Join other 9th-12th graders for a Saturday evening of swing dance instruction and fun! Dances are held in Carroll Hall under the main church of Sacred Heart from 7-9:30 pm.
There are two service opportunities for the middle school youth group this fall! Confirmation candidates must attend one to fulfill their service requirement.
On October 4th from 10:00-12:00 we will be volunteering with the Franciscan Monastery's Garden Guild. This will be outdoor physical labor either harvesting fall crops or helping winterize fields. The produce from the farm helps feed those experiencing food insecurity in DC.
On October 18th from 7:00-10:00 we will be volunteering at Catholic Charities SHARE program which also serves those experiencing food insecurity! We will be working in their warehouse helping prep produce for distribution.
For both events we need 2-4 parent chaperones. Please reach out to Al Baxter (al@sacredheartbowie.org) if you are available.
Our annual MSYG Fall Retreat & Fest will be on October 10th from 4:30-9:30. The Blue Nuns will host us for retreat at their house from which we will walk down the hill to Fall Fest at Montpelier Farms. Cost is $20 to cover admission to Fall Fest. Pizza and snacks will be provided during the retreat. Scholarships are available; please email al@sacredheartbowie.org.
Drop off at the Sister Servants' Novitiate house (1714 Crain Hwy, Upper Marlboro) and pick up at the entrance of Montpelier Farms (1720 Crain Hwy, Upper Marlboro).
Swing Dance on Saturday, October 18th from 6:30-8:30 in Carroll Hall for 6th-8th graders! Professional dance instruction! Cost is $10. Snacks and sodas provided.
This sign up is for Youth Group families participating in the "Raking in the Dough" fundraiser. We ask each family to sign up for an afternoon of raking. The fundraiser helps cover the costs of our meals and supplies for regular youth group meetings and allows us to subsidize the cost of retreats and special activities!
Raking will take place on November 8th, 9th, and 15th from 1:00-4:00 pm. The week of the fundraiser you will get an email from Al with your raking group and assigned yard!
