Happy Wednesday! And happy memorial of Pope Saint John Paul II! October is winding down. I guess time flies when you’re having fun! We have our Seasoned Souls retreat this Saturday, I hope our 55 and better crowd is signed up.
I also want to highlight our next parish Holy Hour with praise and worship music followed by pizza and games. See the sign up below!
Get ready for November! We start the month strong with All Saints Day (Nov 1) with relics out for veneration in the chapel and Mass at 9:30 in the Church. It is not a day of obligation this year, but come to Mass, pray with the Saints, and join in our celebration! Then we’ve got All Souls Day (Nov 2) when we will offer the 10 AM Mass for all who have died from our community in the past year. That evening we will pray Vespers in the chapel and then light candles in our cemetery.
And THEN on November 15 we will host the Archdiocese’s annual Black Catholic History Month liturgy here at Sacred Heart. See the flyer below.
November is the month of praying for those who have died; a very important way we do this is by offering a Mass each day of the month for all souls in purgatory. To have someone included by name in that intention, please use the link below or the envelopes in the church or chapel to make that offering.
God bless,
Fr. Russo
